Kent County End-of-Summer Party

Sip & Savor benefits Meals On Wheels Delaware.

You used to know it as Denim and Diamonds. Now it’s Sip & Savor, the end-of-summer party for Meals On Wheels Delaware, and it happens Sept. 6 at Wild Quail Golf & Country Club in Wyoming. Enjoy interactive tastings by Kent County restaurants such as Abbott’s Grill, Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House, Georgia House and Where Pigs Fly, as well as a craft beer garden featuring brews by Dogfish Head, DuClaw Brewing, Evolution Brewing, Fordham Brewing Company, Sly Fox Brewing, Yards Brewing and many more. Painted Stave Distilling in Smyrna will be pouring the cocktails. “Changing the venue and adding both the craft beer garden and interactive chef stations will surely enhance the guest experience of this already beloved Kent County event,” says Regina Dodds, director of events for Meals On Wheels Delaware. “We are incredibly grateful for the community’s outstanding contributions towards Sip & Savor.” Funds raised help to ensure that no senior is on a waiting list to receive a hot, nutritious meal and can rely on a friendly volunteer to deliver nourishment to their home each weekday.
