These are the food vendors to look out for at the 2019 St. Anthony’s Italian Festival event, which runs through June 16 in Wilmington.

There’s a reason why the yearly St. Anthony’s Italian Festival offers eight-day passes: because the food really is that good. And, because there is so much to choose from, who could really feast on all the fare without going back at least more than once?

This food-lover’s paradise runs from June 9-16 in Wilmington. Here’s some of the festival fare that will have us waiting in line, no matter how long.

Café Antonian by Caffé Gelato

This is where all your Italian dreams come true. Choose from fresh artisan pizzas, house-crafted pastas, sandwiches, salads and desserts from Caffé Gelato.

La Casa Pasta

If you are looking for a traditional Italian feast, head to the Ballad Room (hello, air conditioning, too!) to indulge in ravioli dinners, chicken parmesan and more from La Casa Pasta. Save room for a slice of Italian cake for dessert.

Bernie’s Original Italian Water Ice

Speaking of dessert, you must cool off at Bernie’s Original Italian Water Ice. Bernie Malloy is the owner/operator of the Little Italy shop and is known for making the “official” water ice for the festival. Malloy has stated in the past that he makes water ice nonstop leading up to the Italian Festival. Thank you, Malloy for your service!

The Panzerotti

There’s a reason why this handheld dish is a festival favorite: It’s a modified version of a calzone, that is fried and filled with cheesy goodness. It’s larger than a turnover yet not overwhelming—it’s the perfect post-festival snack.
