Five Local Restaurants Honored in Wine Spectator’s 2016 Restaurant Awards

The list highlights restaurants around the world with the best wine selections.

If you are passionate about wine, then be sure to pick up a copy of Wine Spectator’s latest issue, on stands July 19. The magazine has released the winners of the 2016 Restaurant Awards, which recognize outstanding wine programs.

Five restaurants in Delaware were recognized this year. Caffé Gelato, Eden and Sullivan’s Steakhouse received the Award of Excellence; Domaine Hudson and the Green Room each received the Best of Award of Excellence.

Wine Spectator began its program to recognize the world’s best wine lists in 1981. There are three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award—with 2,414; 1,093; and 88 winners this year in each respective category. Seven of the Grand Award winners are first-timers.
