Happy 2010!

In order to achieve a no-step entry in the garage, we filled with stone dust. Stone dust is a byproduct material, compacts well and is inexpensive.

Detached garage filled, with holes prepared in the concrete foundation in preparation for rebar.

10-mil poly, which is a water vapor barrier, and rebar installed.

Garage in the home prepared for concrete to be poured.

To further reinforce the strength of the concrete, pockets are dug along the walls adjoining the house foundation for extra concrete to fill the pockets and add strength and support.

The concrete truck arrives, ready to pour.

The concrete is finished by hand.
