Step inside the Hotel du Pont and you’ll notice its lobby and Green Room Bar have received facelifts, courtesy of New York architect and interior designer Campion Platt.
Swathed in gorgeous jewel tones, the lobby and bar are now equipped with cozy, modern furnishings that energize both spaces. Guests can get comfortable whether they’re working, mingling or simply taking a load off after a long day’s travel.

Platt retained the existing molding in the Green Room Bar but introduced antiqued mirrors and modern sconces with reflective, jewel-like fixtures. He designed custom banquettes and low sofas to accommodate diverse groups of patrons.
He also selected new artwork from such local artists as Peter Sculthorpe, Maxfield Parrish, N.C.Wyeth and Howard Pyle.
The Buccini/Pollin Group now owns the historic hotel in downtown Wilmington.
