Pauline Morgan: Delaware Women in Business

Just when she became eligible to be considered for partnership, the Philadelphia law firm where Pauline Morgan worked dissolved after more than 80 years in business. “I was very fortunate at that time (late 1996) to land at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor—a powerhouse in the bankruptcy field—but I had to prove myself all over again before joining the partnership ranks here,” Morgan says. Prove herself she did. Now chair of the bankruptcy and corporate restructuring section, the largest such section in the state and one of the largest in the Mid-Atlantic, she leads a team of 37 attorneys and 11 paralegals, and helps six other partners manage the firm overall.
