Tuesday, March 23 – Thursday, March 25: The third annual Taste of Little Italy Celebration gets underway this week, with almost every single restaurant and business in the neighborhood banding together to offer special deals and menus. Starting Tuesday, grab some tilapia and shrimp rapini at Mona Lisa, or a three-course meal for $35 at Pomodoro, or one of many more deals to be had. Click your way over here for the full rundown.
A portion of the proceeds from Taste of Little Italy will go to benefit the West End Neighborhood House.
Thursday, March 25: North Wilmo’s Harry’s Savoy Grill is trading in its wine knives for a couple o’ these guys Thursday. The restaurant has invited Dogfish Head Brewery upshore for a four-course beer dinner featuring a special Harry’s-made dinner and a few tasty brews. Consider: braised beef short rib with handmade horseradish gnocchi, smoked tomato reduction and a frosty pint of Indian Brown Ale. Yum.

Saturday, March 27: Newark has made some major inroads as a legit restaurant destination, and on Saturday, the town will get to show off its stuff.
Newark’s Wine and Dine Downtown will pair up local restaurants with fine winemakers from around the world for one big, awesome culinary extravaganza.
Here’s how it works: Head down to any of 16 participating restaurants Saturday evening (including Caffé Gelato, Stone Balloon Wine House, Vita Nova and Saigon Vietnam) and try a two-ounce taste of wine for $2, then try some more, then stick around for food specials. For example, at Ali Baba, you could grab a sip of Chaddsford Winery Pinot Grigio for two bucks, or add a tasty mini falafel for just $3 more. Click here for a full rundown.
