Sleeved blankets reach their tipping point and booze even Oprah would love.

Friday, February 26: We’ve all seen “Behind the Music” (the Leif Garrett episode still brings the tears), now a group of UD alumni and Iron Hill Brewery are bringing us “Behind the Brew,” an event aimed at UD alum.

Join the professional crowd at 5 p.m. at Iron Hill on the Riverfront for brew tasting, drink specials, appetizers and a tour of the brewery. Entry is just $5 per person.

Saturday, February 27: Everybody’s favorite (corny, all-pervading, ironic, yet strangely practical) backwards robe finally gets its night to shine in Wilmington Saturday at the first ever Snuggie Bar Crawl.

Six Trolley Square bars—the Logan House, Catherine Rooney’s, 1717, Kid Shelleen’s, Del Rose and C.R. Hooligan’s—will be doling out drink specials in exchange for wearing a $5 paper bracelet. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross’ Relief and Redevelopment fund for Haiti.

And if you’re like me and you cringe at the thought of 500 super-sized fleece blankets being dragged through the slush, mud and beer—Snuggies are machine washable.
