My heart is racing as I write this. It is as though Christmas is going to come early this year. Oh yes, you know this Glam Gal is counting down the days. Yes, it’s true.
Nordstrom is finally going to be opening right here in our own backyard.
Oh the thrill and anticipation is just too much to bear, but it won’t be long now. They have been slowly but surely getting the new store ready and after years of anticipation the time has finally come! FINALLY. Thank goodness. We have been waiting for this day since they tempted us with the idea of being over at the Brandywine Plaza.
This is truly a historic moment. Why not come out to help see it happen!
Here is the schedule of events:
Grand Gala 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Be among the first to step through the doors to preview the new Nordstrom Christiana Mall store during a festive opening gala. Enjoy cocktails, dinner and dessert buffets, live entertainment and, of course, fabulous shopping. Tickets are $75 per person. All proceeds will benefit several local charities. For information and tickets, call 351-8512 or visit delartnordstrom.org
Beauty Bash 8-10 a.m.
Beauty Bash (Not to be confused with the Delaware Today Beauty Bash. This one will be different.)
If you are a true fashionista come early that morning and join The Beauty Bash—basically a cosmetic tailgate party! It will be inside, in front on the store (before the store opens) with different vendors with all the latest and cosmetics there to check out! So bring a girlfriend and be first in line when the doors open! There will be plenty of free samples and special gifts with purchase. This is a free event.
Grand Opening 10 a.m.
The Nordstrom Christiana Mall doors will officially open!
• There will be the standard five shoe departments (three women’s, one men’s and one children’s) (HEAVEN…)
• It will be laid out like the traditional two-story building. Yes, two floors of luxury goods to wander about….
• They are going to be trying out on us a new theme restaurant, this will be the first of its kind and it’s here for our store! It’s called 6th and Pine (based on the name from the Nordstrom’s flagship store in Seattle). It will have a retro feel, great food and will serve beer and wine.
• Finally, there will be a cappuccino café downstairs. (In case you need any more encouragement to keep shopping.)
So, come out for all the festivities! I will be at all three events for sure, so please if you see me, stop and say, “Hi!”
Cheers for now…
