Welcome to the Home Skillet, where we urge the scientific community for more research on “the itis” and its effects during Thanksgiving. Here’s what’s going on during the holiday-shortened week.
Friday, November 28-Saturday, November 29: Look, it’s Black Friday. Do yourself a favor. Do your family a favor. Skip the impossibly long line at Best Buy (and getting elbowed in the face by a woman holding a Hannah Montana protractor) and head to the Chocolate Festival at Dover Downs.
There are choral and musical performances, ice carving, cooking demos, and for the wee ones, a gingerbread and candy village. Perhaps the best part: It’s free.
Oh and did we mention chocolate, sweet giver of life? Comforter of souls? Yes, there will be lots of it.
For a full lineup of exhibitors and events, go here.
The choco-blasted fun starts at noon Friday from the Rollins Center in Dover.
