She began her journalism career as a city newspaper reporter for the Los Angeles Times, and has considerable experience in the magazine world through her work as editor in chief of Gannett’s monthly Desert magazine covering the Southwest; Senior Editor at Desert Publications Inc., publisher of Palm Springs Life magazine; Senior Editor at Firebrand Media, where she managed multiple city and custom magazines; and as a freelance contributor to international, national and regional magazines, including Delaware Today. Upon returning to her home state, she worked as a copy editor and proofreader for Aloysius, Butler & Clark, a mid-Atlantic advertising agency.
