Delaware’s coastal towns are celebrated for their shopping, no matter the season. But with Black Friday and Small Business Saturday just around the corner, the holiday shopping season is almost upon us. It’s time to make a list and hit the beach.
Shop at the outlets on Route 1 in Rehoboth beginning at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving to take advantage of the Moonlight Madness sale. Participating shops will be open all night.

Hosted by the Dewey Artist Collaboration and The Starboard, the Sip & Shop will take place on Black Friday, Nov. 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Small Business Saturday, on Nov. 25., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Expect live music, beer and up to 30 vendors selling handmade artwork.

This is the 24th year for the event, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The studios and galleries are situated throughout the southern beaches, from Bethany to Dagsboro.
The town will celebrate Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24. Stop by Bethany Beach Books to purchase a $5 tote bag full of coupons for local businesses. Proceeds will go to a nonprofit.

Downtown Lewes is a charming place to shop during the holiday season, but the merchants pull out all the stops during Lewes Merchants’ Hospitality Night on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Many stores offer cookies, hot chocolate and other goodies.
