Steamin’ Day at Auburn Heights Events, For the Family, Museums and History

The best way to experience Auburn Heights and the Marshall Steam Museum is to attend a monthly Steamin’ Day! Climb into an antique automobile, board one of our trains, and experience what it was like to travel at the turn of the 20th century. Tour the magnificent 1897 mansion that was home to three generations of the Marshall family. You’ll find something for everyone, age 2 to 92!

Join us on the first Sundays of every month from June through November, 12:30 – 4:30 pm.

Included with All Admission Options:
• Fresh steam-popped popcorn from our vintage popper
• Entry to the newly renovated Marshall Steam Museum, featuring the world’s largest operating collection of Stanley steam cars plus a 1930s working Lionel electric trains display, steam engine display, exhibits, and gift shop
• Kids activities/crafts
• Firing Up Demonstration (at 1:30 pm) to see how we set a steam car in motion

STEAMIN’ DAY ADMISSION
General Admission (Rides Ticket) includes 4 rides in the antique autos or Auburn Valley Railroad: $12 ages 13 and up, $8 ages 12 and under (infants free). General/Rides Ticket admission is free for Friends of Auburn Heights Members. Members may tour the mansion for $8 (ages 13 and up), $4 (ages 12 & under).

Mansion & Grounds Only (no rides): $12 ages 13 and up, $6 ages 12 and under (infants free).

Combo Ticket: Do it all — rides & mansion tour: $20 ages 13 & up, $14 ages 12 and under (infants free).

ACCESS Delaware accepted.

Delaware Womenade 5th Annual Games Day Events

To be held at Ocean View VFW Post 7234, 29265 Marsh Hope Way. Game tables for four to play any game of your choice. Enjoy a continental breakfast, lunch with bubbly, dessert, cash bar, basket raffle, 50/50 and silent auction. The donation is $60/person, with all proceeds benefiting the Peoples Place domestic violence victims and survivors in Sussex and Kent Counties. 2022 BMW Championship Sports

Wilmington Country Club hosts the PGA TOUR’s BMW Championship from August 16-21, 2022 at Wilmington Country Club’s South Course. Catch all the excitement and secure your place to see the top 70 players in the world compete in the penultimate event of the PGA TOUR’s FedExCup Playoffs. Conducted by the Western Golf Association to benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation, the BMW Championship is the second of three events in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup and determines the final field of 30 for the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Bar None Comedy Live Presents Damon Williams: Summer Heat!

From Chi-Town to DE, Damon Williams has been blazing stages for over 26 years as a successful stand-up comedian and is well known for his numerous appearances on BET’s Comic View in which he was a constant performer on the television series for nearly two decades. Damon would go on to achieve much greater success when he hosted several episodes of Showtime at The Apollo in the ’90s and performed alongside the “Original Kings of Comedy” all over the country as the opening act with the likes Steve Harvey, Cedric The Entertainer, D.L. Hughley, and the late Bernie Mac. In addition, Damon was featured as a co-host of the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner morning show and has appeared on Comedy Central, Bad Boys of Comedy, First Amendment Stand Up, Laffapalooza, and Urban Flix Network.

The shows will start at exact times, so please arrive early.
