$5“Dirty Dancing” is the Romeo and Juliet of the Catskills, when a mismatched couple falls in love at a family summer resort. Patrick Swayze launched his not-just-a-dancer acting career with his role as the staff dance instructor, while a young Jennifer Grey (Joel’s daughter) jump-started her career as the sheltered New York teen who falls for Johnny’s moves. This film has a happier ending, and immortalized a dance move that has oft been repeated but never quite duplicated.
