Network Delaware – Criminal Justice Reform Group Meeting

January 22, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Every year about 650,000 people are released from incarceration in the USA. Statistically, most of them will be unemployed a year later, and two-thirds will be rearrested within three years. This is not a failing of personal responsibility but a failing of society’s responsibility to each person.

Efforts to reform criminal justice practices in a way that reduces gross racial and economic disparities in the development and enforcement of the law; the unconstitutional and inhumane treatment of the imprisoned; and overall factors contributing to crime and recidivism have been explored in major cities across the nation. Similarly, Network Delaware Action Group for Criminal Justice Reform is working to organize a program with equivalent aims for the city of Wilmington and Delaware as a whole.

Join us for a public meeting in the P.S. duPont meeting room at the Wilmington Public Library at 6PM on 1/22/2018 for a general meeting.
