Palacio Maya Mexican Restaurant

From 2013:
We like Palacio Maya for authentic fare such as the nopalito salad of marinated cactus with avocado, queso fresco, cilantro and greens, and for poblanos stuffed with ground pork and beef, dried fruit and raisins, and almonds in a creamy walnut sauce. We like the cozy, cheerful feeling of the place. And we like the menu of Mexican standards, such as enchiladas and chimichangas, which are offered with all the expected fillings. Good shrimp ceviche clinches it.

From 2008:
With wrought-iron chandeliers, cushy booths, white tablecloths and attentive service, Palacio Maya Mexican Restaurant is downright fancy for a Mexican place. Palacio Maya is a member of the La Tonalteca family, but its menu is best described as uptown instead of homestyle Mexican. Take, for instance, the tacos de cochinita pibil: Yucatan-style tacos of pork shoulder marinated in achiote, secret spices and the juice of sour oranges, baked in banana leaves, then topped with pickled red onions and served on soft corn tortillas. Don’t let the upscale approach intimidate you. It’s still a fun place for the family to experience the various regions of Mexico.
