Faces of Delaware 2021

The Face of Community Support

The YMCA has been a pillar of the community for over 175 years and continues to be here during our society’s greatest times of need. During these unprecedented circumstances, the YMCA of Delaware has proven to be an invaluable resource to our communities, providing emergency childcare to essential workers, learning support centers to students participating in virtual schooling, and food relief for the hungry. The Y also created virtual fitness and wellness offerings open to the entire community to ensure everyone remains connected, active and healthy. Additionally, the Y has advocated and taken steps to be a positive force for social change, elevating the awareness and conversations around racial inequities. Every day the Y is here to support you and work toward a healthy, inclusive community.
