The Italian eatery in Trolley Square closes.

Cantina di Napoli, the small Italian eatery in the Trolley Square Shopping Center, has closed. The restaurant, which originally opened in December 2012, closed on Saturday, Nov. 26.

Cantina di Napoli was founded by the same owners who operate the steady and popular Café Napoli off Kirkwood Highway and Trattoria di Napoli in Bear. The restaurants are famous for their homemade pastas, traditional seafood, veal and chicken dishes, and ample portions.

Cantina di Napoli won Delaware Today’s editors’ pick for the best upstate Italian restaurant this year.
