Like hairstyles and hemlines, today’s beverage market is markedly diverse. It’s just as acceptable to order a mocktail as a cocktail. Have a Long Island iced tea or hard iced tea. Mix up an orange crush—the state’s official cocktail—or buy it premade in a can.
The Delaware Today Sip, Sample & Savor event on Wednesday, October 23, will showcase the variety of products on the market. It’s the ideal tasting forum for oenophiles and collectors of aged spirits.
Sponsored by Kreston Wine & Spirits and Porsche Delaware, the party will take place in the elegant Carriage House at Rockwood Park and feature delectable bites prepared by Brandywine Catering.
Suppliers and retailers will pour samples of some of the most exciting libations on the market. Here are some examples of what you can expect, as well as a few recipes that feature libations from participating vendors.

At Sip, Sample & Savor, guests can taste Paso Robles and Napa Valley—both cabernet sauvignons—and Carneros, a chardonnay.
The Ever-Popular Paloma:Â Cantera Negra Tequila
An American Icon:Â Old Forester 86
