It seems like just yesterday that Wilmington Brew Works first opened its doors in an 11,000-square-foot Spanish-style building in North Wilmington. Wilmington Brew Works is the city’s first production brewery since 1955, and is run by Craig Wensell and a team of four other guys: Derek Berkeley, Keith Hughes, John Fusco and Dan Yopp.
On Aug. 9-10 the brewery will celebrate its first anniversary by throwing a “Beerthday Bacchanalia” bash. The two-day celebration takes place in the taproom, is open to the public and has all the makings of a good party: live music, food, yard games and of course—you guessed it—beer. There are also special perks availible to those who purchase a VIP ticket to the event.
