Coffee sure hasn’t stunted the growth of this Best of Delaware winner. Consistently serving a great cup of Joe, Brew HaHa! has now been named Best of Delaware for 21 straight years.
Owner Alisa Morkides says in the past year, she and her team have been working to improve all of their cafes by making changes like adding gardens and paying attention to the details that matter to customers.
Morkides says Brew HaHa!’s success is a culmination of great coffee and better training. Brew HaHa! enjoys a direct trade with some of its coffee farmers, and Morkides says it is the only coffee shop in the state that uses a purely local roaster, Brandywine Coffee Roasters. This partnership allows Brew HaHa! to keep upgrading its coffee by bringing variety and seasonality to its brews.
Morkides says winning a Best of Delaware award is “just amazing.”
“It validates all the effort put into the business for the whole year,” she says. “It’s a high.”
Morkides says she’s really looking forward to the Best of Delaware Party on July 21. She says she always enjoys the live music and she looks forward to seeing her enthusiastic team whipping out cappuccinos and having a great time. Her favorite part, though, is the food.
“Oh my god, the food,” she says. “I love the food.”
