Brick Works Brewing and Eats recently brought its Smyrna-sensibility near the beach. The brewpub opened a second location in the new Taormina Square Shopping Center in Long Neck last month.

Brick Works opened in Smyrna in 2016, and was founded by Eric Williams of Mispillion River Brewing, and Ryan Maloney and Kevin Reading of Abbott’s Grill in Milford and Laurel. The brewpub—which earned a 2019 Best of Delaware award for Best Restaurant in Smyrna—prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients for its food and beer.
The food options at both Brick Works locations are similar, but the Long Neck menu does feature a few standout additions. Consider the fried shishito peppers with lemon salt, beer mussels with chorizo and smoked onions in a tomato broth with Citrus Mistress American Wheat beer, and the fish and chips, served with a Brussel sprout and bacon slaw and malt mayonnaise.
And of course, there’s the beer. You’ve got to try the Princess Peach, a peach cobbler-inspired ale with puree-infused wheat beer. The beer is available at both locations but only for a limited time.
