The first Capriotti’s opened its doors in Wilmington in 1976—and the hoagie shop now exists in 18 states and Washington, D.C. To celebrate the acclaimed franchise, small Bobbies will be only $4 all day at select locations on Tuesday, June 13.
The Bobbie—more commonly known as “Thanksgiving on a roll”—is the most famous Capriotti’s hoagie. Made with homemade turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayonnaise on a freshly baked roll, the Bobbie has been featured in Esquire magazine, on the Food Network and was named “The Greatest Sandwich in America” in 2009 by AOL.com.
