Columbus Day weekend (Oct. 10-12) just got better. The DaVinci Society of Delaware’s 12th annual homage to great Italian-American food and wine will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11. Buy your tickets now ($50 in advance, $60 at the gate) for the Vendemmia da Vinci Wine and Food Festival, which is moving to the spacious grounds of Bellevue State Park this year.
Visitors will be able to sample wines from every region of Italy, Italian beers and food specialties from more than 25 local restaurants. There will also be entertainment featuring opera, classic Italian and contemporary music. The festival will also include homemade gravy and wine competitions, which are open to the public.
