Craving a refreshing beer but not the high calories? You don’t have to resort to a tasteless light beer if you’re watching your weight. Men’s Health magazine released its low-calorie beer awards in May, and the editors chose Dogfish Head’s SeaQuench Ale as the top pick. Dogfish Head owner Sam Calagione apparently spent two years developing the brew, the brewery’s lowest-carb and lowest-calorie beer to date—9 grams of carbs and 140 calories. (By comparison, a Corona Light has 99 calories and 5 grams of carbs per serving.) SeaQuench Ale is citrusy and sour, made with lime peel, black lime and sea salt.
