The food hall, which has been closed since March due to COVID-19, will reopen with a new online ordering system for takeout or dine in.

After being closed since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, DECO food hall is finally reopening its doors.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 14, the food hall, located at 111 W. 10th St. in Wilmington, will begin to offer patrons dine in and takeout services. Food and drinks can be ordered all in one transaction from DECO on the Go through the Toast app. Guests can order from any or all of the stalls, including the bar, in a single transaction. Once your order is ready, you’ll receive a text to pick up from the bar. An ID is required when picking up to-go drinks.

Patrons will be able to view each stalls’ menu through QR codes.

Director of food and beverage Rich Snyder says the new online ordering system will allow for less person-to-person interaction and easy pick-up. Plus, being able to order from all the stalls in one transaction can appease all diners.

“It just meets everybody’s palette. That’s our hope,” he says.

Seven food stalls are returning with the reopening: Pizzeria Bardea, Connie’s Chicken and Waffles, Phubs Pho and Banh Mi Subs, Al Chu’s Sushi, Spark’d, Stu & Sammy’s, and the pop-up stall which is currently occupied by The Burger Joint. Plus, the DECO bar. Snyder says only Stripp’d, the Philadelphia-based acai bowl and smoothie spot, will not be returning due to personal reasons.

However, they plan to have the stall filled with a new vendor in the next few weeks.

“We’re thankful and really appreciate everybody wanting to come back, and excited to come back. Also, most important, in a position where they can afford to come back,” Snyder says.

Diners will be able to choose to dine in, take out or utilize delivery through Grubhub.

Snyder says the food hall’s hours may change based on demand, but during opening week they will be open Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
