Looking to change up your drink order at the bar when quarantine ends? These extra-large cocktails are worth Instagramming.

After the past few months of self isolation and social distancing, many of us are looking forward to having an extra long sip of something sweet as bars and restaurants reopen for business.

If you’re looking to change up your drink order at the bar when quarantine ends, grab your crew and head to the beach for cocktails worth sharing. Multiple bars and restaurants at Delaware beaches offer sizable drinks to share with two or three pals. Just remember to drink responsibly.

La Vida Hospitality Group, which operates Crooked Hammock Brewery, Fork + Flask, Taco Reho, The Big Chill Surf Cantina and Big Chill Beach Club, plans to kick off the summer with buckets of cocktails…literally buckets. While Big Chill Beach Club in Bethany Beach is doing away with its 32-ounce beach bucket cocktails, it will be offering 16-ounce buckets at Big Chill Surf Cantina in Rehoboth Beach for under $15.

The buckets are designed for two people and customers can keep them as a souvenir, says Matt Garbutt, La Vida’s brand manager.

If you’re looking for a sophisticated take on the shareable cocktail, head to Fork + Flask for one of their signature flasks. Chef Sean Corea says each is equivalent to a half-bottle of wine.

“A lot of people do share them, but they don’t realize how much alcohol is in them because they taste so good,” says Corea.

There are five different flask cocktails on the menu, including Red Sangria, John Daly, Bourbon Thyme, Passion Fruit Margarita and Fishhouse Punch. There’s also a handful of non-alcoholic punches, which can be spiked, starting at $8 for 200 milliliters.

And while the glass flasks are a nice memento, Corea insists they aren’t for the keeping.

“We’ve had people stick them in the purse, but they are not to take home,” he says.

At the Greene Turtle, order the Hell in the Shell, an upside-down turtle shell filled with 64 ounces of a colorful cocktails like The Hurricane, made with Shellback Silver Rum, Southern Comfort, orange juice, pineapple juice, sour mix and grenadine. (The large plastic shells are to be left at the restaurant when you’re finished slurping.)

The Super Swill is made for four people for a price tag of $24, but if there are just two of you, expect 32 ounces and a smaller price tag of $12 to $16, depending on which one you order.

The Paloma Mega Mule, made with Owens Grapefruit Paloma mix and tequila, is also 196 ounces and served in a copper mug.
