A Fun One in Rehoboth
You know how The Insider feels about wine and cheese. No wonder this one caught our eye: Tour the World With Wine and Cheese. It happens Nov. 5 at the Rehoboth Beach Museum. It’s pretty self-explanatory, but you should know this: The $40 for your ticket ($75 per couple) benefits the children’s education room at the museum. You’ll sample wares from Italy, New Zealand, Argentina, and the United States in one of the coolest places at the beach. It’ll be fun. Artful Dining, Indeed
One for the day planner: An Evening of Artful Dining: A Preservationist’s Approach to Historic Buildings in Delaware at the Biggs Museum of American Art in Dover. On Nov. 13, you’ll be treated to a three-course dinner by Molly Mason’s in Kennedyville, Md. As you dine on the newly renovated Grand Gallery of The Biggs, preservation consultant Katherine Adams Masek will discuss her studies of paints in historic Delaware buildings such as Fort Delaware, Woodburn in Dover, John Dickinson Plantation and others. If you haven’t caught on to Little Lee’s Breakfast in America tour yet, check her Web site (leeeatsbreakfast.com) and her Facebook page. Then enjoy the foundation meal of the day on Oct. 28 at Helen’s Sausage House in Smyrna, where writer-diner Lee Rice will kick off her adventure. It’s an attempt to reclaim a little “woohoo” on her life, she writes. She’s still looking for suggestions, so you might still sway her. Wine and Beer with a Water View
As the old saying goes, one can never have too many celebrations of beer and wine. (We’re sure we’ve heard that somewhere.) The next great event? The expo at The Chesapeake Inn.
