Variety is the spice of life—or at least that’s Ron Price’s life motto. Price is the founder of Blue Earl Brewing Company in Smyrna. His brews are inspired from music, bringing the blues to the brews. “The Sky is Crying,” Price’s newest beer, is named after the Elmore James song, written and recorded in 1959. It was released on Feb. 19 and will be sold at Blue Earl Brewing while supplies last. This brew is made with malted barley, rye, wheat and specialty malts, and then hopped with Magnum, Citra and Amarillo. Each sip reveals its slightly sweet flavor with notes of chocolate, coffee, sweet malt and even passion fruit. Try “The Sky Is Crying” with a grilled steak or a spicy dish like BBQ or Mexican fare. Price is all about creating brews for your soul, and your taste buds will thank him for it.
