Farmers and Chefs to Team Up, Create Tasty Samples

The Wilmington event raises money for the March of Dimes.

​Don’t miss this year’s The Farmer and the Chef event, held Thursday, Sept. 15 at 5:45 p.m. at the Chase Center on the Riverfront.

Founded in 2008, The Farmer & The Chef is an annual fundraiser for the March of Dimes. At the event, local farmers are paired with local chefs. The farmers provide the chefs with their product(s), with which the chefs must then prepare healthy tasting samples for attendees.

The event reinforces the movement of eating healthy, which is something the March of Dimes believes in and promotes to women who are considering pregnancy.
