From now until Valentine’s Day, corks will pop across the country as sparkling wines take center stage. There’s no shortage of options. In addition to Champagne—only made in the Champagne region of France—there is prosecco and cava.
Ferrari Trento, however, is 100% chardonnay from Italy. Giulio Ferrari started the company in 1902 to compete with the French, and Bruno Lunelli succeeded him. Now a third-generation family winery, Ferrari Trento received the Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year recognition for the sixth time at the Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships.

Ferrari Brut’s grapes grow on Italy’s Trentino slopes. “Trentino and the Trentodoc region are great for high-altitude sparkling wine, and Ferrari is leading the way,” says Mike Zygmonski, a certified sommelier and beverage director at SoDel Concepts. “It’s light, bright and fresh.”
Straw-yellow with faint grassy highlights, Ferrari Brut has the scent of golden delicious apples and a light, ripe fruit flavor.
