Fight Hunger With an Evening in the Garden

It all happens at the University of Delaware Community Garden.

Help alleviate hunger in the First State while enjoying garden-fresh foods, ice cream and wine and beer tastings at the seventh annual Evening in the Garden on Sept. 10. Reserve a ticket by Aug. 31 for this partnership party between the Food Bank of Delaware and the University of Delaware’s College of Agriculture & Natural Resources to be held at the university.

Students and chefs from The Culinary School at the Food Bank will harvest produce from the university’s Garden for the Community and prepare dishes like stout-braised local lamb, black-garlic mashed potatoes with crispy shaved shallots, sweet corn and edamame succotash, pigtail shrimp with a drizzle of chili oil, and more.
