Suspense has been mounting for the first annual Delaware Taco Festival, scheduled for Saturday, June 25 from 11 a.m.–6 p.m. So far over 4,000 tickets have been sold to people ready to enjoy samples from over 30 taco vendors and food trucks, carnival rides, live entertainment, a chili pepper-eating contest, a margarita beach bar and plenty of tequila samples.
Some of the vendors expected at the Taco Festival include The Chesapeake Inn, Firestone Roasting House, 301 Plaza, and 8th and Union Kitchen.
Two types of tickets are available: silver and gold. Silver tickets are $40 and include: entrance to the event, six full-size tacos, one alcoholic beverage, a commemorative keepsake, a grab bag, access to food competition and live entertainment, and unlimited $2 tacos. Gold tickets are $60; they include the same benefits as silver tickets as well as early entry to the event, eight full-size tacos instead of six and a free T-shirt. If the event is not sold-out, tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the event.
