I‘ll admit it: I didn’t start enjoying oysters until last summer. After a trip to South Carolina, I finally found a variety that I couldn’t stop slurping (read about it here: The Heavenly Oysters That Kept Me Awake at Night).
I still would not call myself an oyster aficionado, but for those of you who are, be sure to get yourself a ticket to Oysterfest at Grain H20, which takes place on Saturday, Jan. 26 from noon-4 p.m. For just $49 per person, enjoy oysters on the half shell from five regional oyster farmers, craft beer from five brewers and a hot food buffet. Brewers include: Dogfish Head, Victory, Troegs, Stone and Flying Dog. A cash bar will be available for anything else that you might desire. There will also be live music.
