In late July, Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen arrived on the dining scene offering dozens of craft brews and freshly prepared comfort foods for lunch and dinner. Now, the Newark restaurant on East Main Street is taking its concept a step further with a new brunch service from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Sundays and after 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The menu tantalizes taste buds with breakfast choices like scrapple cheese steak; a bacon, egg and pound-cake sandwich; French toast; buttermilk pancakes; and omelets like the South Philly with pulled pork, spinach, roasted red peppers, sharp provolone and “attitude.” There is also a complement of burgers, sandwiches and dishes like a pretzel board and hummus plate.
