Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen, which currently owns and operates three gastropubs in Delaware and Pennsylvania, just released a new focused menu at all of its locations. The revamped lineup is the product of over four months of collaboration between the restaurants’ chefs and teams.
“We took the existing menu, cut it in half, and then allowed the chefs to explore and add dishes,” says co-owner Lee Mikles. “It was something special to see them collaborate and taste the results.”
Many Grain favorites, such as the fried pickles and Cubano sandwich, remain on the menu. New items include a Southwestern Cobb salad with barbecue-ranch dressing and a salmon BLT with cilantro aioli on toasted multi-grain bread. The menu also features summer elixirs—alcohol-free craft cocktails containing agave, guava nectar and muddled fruit.
Each location’s chef will also add about five of his own distinct items to the menu (steamed shrimp at Grain H2O, for example), allowing for further creative experimentation and ideas for the next menu refresh in the fall.
