We were saddened to learn that Chaiyo Sushi and Thai Cuisine had shuttered the doors to its Newport location in the spring. The sushi joint originally planned to move this location to Middletown, but has instead decided to focus its attention on their Dover and Camden locations. However, a new Asian restaurant has opened in its place: Hachi Asian Fusion & Sushi Bar.

The new restaurant offers plenty of traditional and specialty sushi rolls, pad Thai, teriyaki and plenty of entrees like Korean barbecue chicken, roast duck and Mongolian beef.
