Hard Seltzers and Canned Cocktails Make a Splash Around Delaware

Hard seltzers and canned cocktails have gained popularity as refreshing and tasty drinks. Try these local options in Delaware this season.

The weather is warming up, so we’re all ready to get back outdoors. Spring and summer activities call for the perfect beverage, and hard seltzers and canned cocktails are refreshing and convenient options around Delaware.

The First State’s craft beverage scene is booming, and locally made hard seltzers, hard teas, and canned cocktails are making waves in Delaware and beyond. If you’re looking for new beverages to change up your spring and summer drinking, here are a few to try.

Crooked Hammock Hard Seltzer

Crooked Hammock Brewery has locations in both Middletown and Lewes. With chill backyard barbecue vibes, family-friendly outdoor areas, and plenty of fun events throughout the spring and summer, Crooked Hammock is the perfect place to sip a hard seltzer. The seltzers are available in Lewes and Middletown in two flavors: peach mango and lemon blueberry—both have a 5% ABV.

Crooked Hammock Feel Good Hard Iced Tea

If you’re more of a hard tea drinker, Crooked Hammock has an offering for you, too! Crack open a can of Crooked Hammock’s hard iced tea for a cool and refreshing sip that screams summer. Available in both lemon and raspberry, Feel Good Hard Iced Tea is balanced and has an ABV of 6%, making it a great warm-weather sipper.

Northeast Tea

Speaking of hard tea, 2SP Brewing Company launched its own take last spring. The team at 2SP Brewing found the typical hard teas on the market overly sweet and not at all reminiscent of the iced tea they grew up with in the Northeast. Northeast Tea is a subtly sweet hard tea with a hint of citrus that’s perfectly refreshing on a hot summer day. Plus, the 4% alcohol content and one gram of sugar per can means you can enjoy plenty of hard tea this season.

Dogfish Head Canned Cocktails

From beer to spirits to cocktails, Dogfish Head has it all. Find the canned cocktails at bars, restaurants, and liquor stores around Delaware. Along with individual cans, you can also purchase variety packs perfect to bring to weekend barbecues and tailgates this season. The Crush Variety Pack includes a classic blood orange vodka crush and a grapefruit vodka crush, along with a pineapple rum crush and a lemon and lime gin crush. Other canned cocktail options include a blueberry citrus lemon drop made with vodka, a strawberry lime margarita, and a rum mai tai.
