May is National Burger Month, which means the return of Iron Hill Brewery‘s gastronomical celebratory event that features a different burger every day, for the entire month. This year marks the seventh anniversary of the gastronomic affair, which was conceived by Iron Hill’s director of culinary operations, Kevin Davies.
New this year is a Vegetarian Black Bean Burger (topped with pico de gallo, grilled red and yellow peppers, pepper jack cheese and ancho honey mayo), which will be available all month long.
A few of the standouts on the menu include:
May 8
Truffle Shuffle Burger: topped with sautéed mushrooms, rosemary truffle aioli, cheddar cheese, horseradish sauce and a sunny-side up egg. Pairs well with the Pig Iron Porter.
May 11
The Rockin’ Moroccan Burger: flavored with Iron Hill’s signature Moroccan spice and topped with red onion jam, bacon, tomato, Swiss cheese, frisee lettuce and scallion sauce. Pairs well with the Light Lager.
May 18
The Armed Forces Tribute Burger: topped with bacon, American cheese, crispy onion rings, bread and butter pickles and barbecue sauce. Pairs well with the Light Lager.
May 22
The B. Harper Burger: topped with prosciutto, caramelized balsamic onions, gruyere and gorgonzola cheeses, tomato and rosemary garlic mayo. Pairs well with the Pig Iron Porter.
May 27
Yogi’s Pic-a-nic Burger: topped with bacon, American cheese, bread and butter pickles, lettuce, tomato, special sauce and a side of potato salad. Pairs well with the White Iron Wit.
