Wayback Burgers has come a long way since the original Jake’s opened in Newark 24 years ago. With more than 100 locations in 24 states, it is now based in Connecticut and recognized as one of the “better burger” brands in the United States. But the real news are the two all-new fresh fish dishes on the menu through the end of March. The Crispy Cod Fillet platter comes with two battered fillets of fresh Icelandic Cod and a side of fries with house-made tartar sauce. The WB Cod platter includes the WB Cod sandwich—a battered fillet of Icelandic Cod, lettuce and mayo on a toasted bun—and a side of fries with house-made tartar sauce. “The fish-and-chips platters will give our guests who are observing Lent and would like alternative options even more flexibility while visiting our restaurants,” says Gillian Maffeo of Wayback Burgers. “As we come upon another year, changing up our menu offerings keeps things fresh for our guests and allows us to innovate and introduce new products.” Wayback Burgers is about serving never-frozen burgers and hand-dipped milkshakes in a retro atmosphere. It also offers crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, turkey burgers and house-made chips, as well as the famous burger and shake of the month.  For more hit www.waybackburgers.com or www.facebook.com/waybackburgers.
