Tre Sorelle and the new Sugar Factory in Bally’s Dover Casino serve up the treats you crave like ice cream, cookies and more.

The venerable Tre Sorelle Dolce in Wyoming and the new Sugar Factory in Bally’s Dover Casino Resort offer lots of great ways to satisfy your sweet tooth—plus plenty of fun activities.

Tre Sorelle Dolce was opened in 2010 by owners Mike and Becky Marasco. The couple wanted to open a business that would benefit the community, while also teaching their daughters, sweet sisters Arieana, Izabela and Josefena, now in their 20s, to learn to manage money and gain customer service experience. Tre Sorelle Dolce means three sweet sisters.

On the weekends, the parking lot is crowded with families enjoying the sweet treats while playing life-size Jenga or cornhole, or gathering in the gazebo. The family tells customers, come for the ice cream, stick around for the mini golf!

Tre Sorelle Dolce serves 60 flavors of Hershey’s ice cream and Italian ice, plus “a million toppings,” says Mike. The sisters and wife Becky are all involved in the decision-making when it comes to the business. “We put our personality” into it,” he says.

It’s expanded from the original stand to offer an ice cream parlor, party rental spaces, a drive-thru, live music on weekends, car shows and community fundraisers.

And they continue to raise the bar on the food: Their latest crowd pleasers are stuffed waffles (bacon, sausage, scrapple, cheese, egg).

Bally’s Dover Casino Resort brought in the 250-seat Sugar Factory last year after noting its success in sister sites.

“We were looking for a dynamic property,” says general manager Tony Rohrer, and it got one, with a bright carnival look, carousel-themed lighting, “a fun and festive” atmosphere, and foods and décor designed for social media.

Sugar Factory calls itself an American brasserie, with breakfast and brunch menus filled with comfort food and a lunch/dinner menu that features 42 fruity drinks, about half of which were designed and taste-tested by performers and social media influencers, and some evocatively presented over dry ice. Also offered are 12 different milkshakes, several in chocolate-covered mugs, and 10 desserts, including a sundae that serves 12. Cheetos, gummies, lollipops, M&Ms, Skittles, sprinkles and boldly dyed hamburger buns bring every color of the rainbow—and then some—to the table.

“We’re known for celebrating birthdays,” Rohrer says. Celebrations feature sparkler boxes that mimic fireworks and well-wishing staff members singing and dancing.
