Libation of the month: Dogfish Head Lemon Quest

Most people agree that a bracing beer can take the heat off in the hotter months. Increasingly, though, young consumers want a brew that is light but flavorful. Enter Lemon Quest, a nonalcoholic option from Dogfish Head Craft Brewery that has just 90 calories. It’s lean and clean.
Lemon Quest is part of Dogfish’s active lifestyle collection for those who like to “exercise and indulge,” says brewery founder Sam Calagione. The initiative started with Namaste, a yoga-inspired variety brewed with fresh-cut lemongrass, orange slices, peppercorns and coriander. It also includes the bestselling SeaQuench Ale, which has a 4.9% ABV. Lemon Quest shares some similarities with its sibling, SeaQuench: It’s made with sea salt and bright citrus. The Lemon Quest, however, also packs blueberry juice and acai berry, the trending superfood.
The beers underscore the Milton brewery’s Mother Nature, Let’s Do This! campaign, developed in partnership with The Nature Conservancy. After all, Mother Nature is the source of Dogfish Head’s culinary-centric ingredients, notes Calagione, an enthusiastic outdoorsman. The campaign is not only about how Mother Nature provides key ingredients that make Dogfish Head beers so delicious; it’s also about learning how to protect and conserve the planet. From recycling our bottles and cans to supporting organizations focused on environmental efforts, we can all do our part.
Dogfish Head Lemon Quest is light, active-lifestyle oriented and absolutely delicious. Take it to the beach, the bay or your next backyard barbecue. Cheers to summers in Delaware!
