Get your reusable shopping bags ready—Lidl is opening in Dover on Feb. 5.
The new food market, located at 150 N. DuPont Highway, will hold a ribbon cutting event beginning at 7:40 a.m. on Feb. 5, and will kick off a weekend of special offers, giveaways and prizes for shoppers. The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday. This will be Lidl’s second store in Delaware.
“With incredible quality and low everyday prices, Lidl always means a good deal!” said Dover store manager Ryan Garcia in a news release. “We look forward to expanding the Lidl brand in Delaware and giving the community an award-winning grocery store that will be an easy choice for shoppers in Dover.”
Customers will be able to take advantage of get-them-while-you-can grand opening special offers at the new Dover store including the first 100 customers receiving a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each, according to a news release.
Other specials include free samples of an array of Lidl’s products, a complimentary Lidl reusable bag while supplies last and other games, activities, prizes, special deals and giveaways throughout the weekend of Feb. 5-9.
Lidl operates more than 11,000 stores and is active in 32 countries. The supermarket offers customers the high quality fresh produce, meat, bakery items and a wide array of household products at low prices.
