Maiale Deli and Salumeria to Host Barbecue and Bourbon Dinner Feb. 16

The Wilmington-based specialty sausage restaurant is holding the event to benefit the Trauma Survivors Foundation.

 

If you’ve never been to Maiale Deli & Salumeria in Wilmington then this is the perfect excuse to treat yourself—for a good cause. The intimate restaurant is hosting a five-course barbecue and bourbon tasting dinner on Saturday, Feb. 16 to benefit the Trauma Survivors Foundation. (This event will also make a great Valentine’s Day gift for the man in your life, if you think he deserves a special treat.)

MENU

  • First course: Barbecue glazed pork belly confit with a bourbon gastrique
  • Second course: Jamaican jerk baby back ribs with a papaya slaw
  • Third course: Korean marinated pork tenderloin with jasmine rice and kimchi
  • Fourth course: Suckling pig
  • Fifth course: Bourbon peach cobbler with bourbon-caramel ice cream

  • Second course: Woodford Reserve
  • Third course: Buffalo Trace
  • Fourth course: Booker’s
  • Fifth course: Basil Hayden’s

 

There will also be craft beer samples from Big Oyster Brewery Hammerhead IPA and Solar Power.

There are only 36 tickets available for the dinner, and they cost $75 each. Raffle tickets will also be sold during the event to benefit the Trauma Survivors Foundation, and are $10 each or $25 for three tickets. The winner will receive a trip to the Caribbean valued at $2,100.
