Have you had a chance to try mead yet? How about locally made hard cider? Here’s your chance to do both. Craft beer bloggers from Delaware Hop Scene will host a happy hour (actually, two hours) at Liquid Alchemy Beverages on Friday, Nov. 18, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Liquid Alchemy Beverages will be celebrating National Cider Day by unveiling its first batch of hard cider. And Maiale Deli and Salumeria Food Truck will be on site serving its tasty sausages and other fare. (Maiale uses Liquid Alchemy’s 04 Orange Mead in its orange-walnut salami.)
The just-opened Liquid Alchemy specializes in mead, best known as the drink of Vikings. Modern makers use honey and yeast to create still, sparkling, sweet or dry meads, which are flavored with everything from juniper berries to locally grown apples.
