The first Bardea concept, Bardea Food & Drink, opened on Wilmington’s Market Street in 2018, and it quickly became a local favorite for upscale Italian-inspired fare in Delaware’s largest city. Less than a decade later, the restaurant group has grown to include concepts throughout central Wilmington. Partners Scott Stein, chef Antimo DiMeo, and Pino DiMeo continue to develop unique and elevated concepts offering a wide range of experiences and cuisines. Whether you’re a regular diner at Bardea Food & Drink and Bardea Steak or you’re looking for a fresh dining experience, new offerings from the Bardea Group have plenty to offer. From a bar serving comfort food on Market Street to a food hall on 10th Street and more concepts coming soon, here’s what the Bardea Group is cooking up in Wilmington.
Roost Pub & Kitchen
Located on Market Street, Roost Pub & Kitchen offers elevated comfort food and pub fare. Compared to the group’s previous concepts, Roost offers the same elevated flavors and experience at a lower price point. The vibe in the dining room and bar area is laid-back with television screens and exposed brick walls. The dishes served at Roost are playful, comforting, and nostalgic—packing all the flavor and flair Wilmington residents have come to expect at a Bardea restaurant. Menu standouts include cheesesteak bao buns, chicken wings, flatbreads, sandwiches like short rib grilled cheese, and entrees like shepherd’s pie.
If you’re looking for all the excellence of a Bardea concept at an affordable price point, Roost is a must-try in Wilmington.

DE.CO
DE.CO isn’t an original Bardea concept, but Bardea Restaurant Group recently took over operations at the Wilmington food hall, bringing in new concepts like Sumac and Bean by Bardea and retaining some mainstays like the popular Al Chu’s Sushi. The Bardea Group has a Mediterranean concept in the works, and Sumac offers a preview of what’s in store. Bean by Bardea is a great stop for a caffeine boost. A “Coming Soon” sign hangs in one empty stall advertising that South Philly’s Angelo’s Pizzeria will soon join DE.CO’s lineup of food vendors. Find the full list of food stalls on DE.CO’s website.

Casa Nonna
One major change the Bardea Group made to DE.CO was the inclusion of Casa Nonna—a full-service traditional Italian eatery nestled in the corner of the food hall. The atmosphere is cozy and bright, and reservations are encouraged. As the name suggests, the menu is inspired by Chef Antimo DiMeo’s two Italian nonnas, Maria and Italia, and their recipes. With the Casa Nonna menu, DiMeo pays tribute to all the nonnas of our region and how they’ve contributed to modern Italian-American cuisine. The menu includes a variety of entrees, pizzas, appetizers, and plenty of pasta. The pasta on the dinner menu is split into two categories—”Nonna’s House,” where diners can find more traditional Italian pasta dishes, and “Our House,” for a modern spin on classic Italian dishes.
Casa Nonna’s seating is located next to DE.CO’s bar, and the cocktails pair perfectly with the menu. The “meloncello cooler” is a favorite, crafted with house-made limoncello, melon liqueur, and kiwi. Other cocktails include a strawberry basil margarita and an espresso martini with a touch of cherry and dark chocolate.
