Get Ready to Dine Deliciously During Newark Restaurant Week

Enjoy delicious three-course dinners and takeout specials from select Newark eateries during restaurant week from January 20-26.

Put down the grocery meal planning and support Delaware restaurants this month.

Hosted by The Newark Partnership, Newark Restaurant Week will run from Jan. 20-26. Diners can enjoy unique chef menus of three-course meals and takeout dishes at select eateries. Restaurants in Newark that are participating include Home Grown Café, Taverna, Caffé Gelato, Stone Balloon, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, Deer Park Tavern, The Blue Crab Seafood Restaurant & Grill, Skipjack Dining, Klondike Kate’s Restaurant & Saloon, Grottos Pizza and Santa Fe Mexican Grill.

The three-course dinners are priced at $30 and will be available nightly from 5-10 p.m.

The Blue Crab Seafood Restaurant & Grill

Choose from a variety of seafood and American fare menu items at this eatery. Items include smoked pork tenderloin, duck sausage and chili lime baked salmon, along with flourless chocolate torte for dessert.

Caffé Gelato

This Italian American eatery is offering a myriad of options for restaurant week including pan-seared scallops with celery root puree, eggplant caponata and asparagus gnocchi. Guests can also enjoy grilled center-cut filet mignon, pan-roasted Faroe Island salmon and mussels.

Deer Park Tavern

This tavern’s restaurant week menu is available for dine-in or takeout. Enjoy blackened maki or homestyle meatloaf for your main course and an ice cream bowl or salted caramel crunch cake for dessert. Plus, there are a variety of appetizers from which to choose.

Enjoy the legendary taste of Grotto’s Pizza during Newark Restaurant Week. This local favorite offers a choice of a maple walnut salad or arancini with smoked gouda for an appetizer. For the main course, enjoy a personal four cheese pizza followed by the Grotto gelato for dessert.

At Home Grown, patrons have a wide variety of options for their three-course dinner. Plus, the restaurant is accommodating to vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diners. This Delaware-based brewpub chain is getting involved with restaurant week through a set menu of soup, jambalaya, pan-roasted chicken and fried apple pie egg rolls.

Klondike Kate’s Restaurant & Saloon

At this downtown Newark restaurant, enjoy tomato-basil bisque served with a mini grilled cheese garnish as an appetizer, followed by a choice of pesto mozzarella flatbread or chorizo meatballs. Plus, enjoy either the apple pie egg rolls or a cookies and cream cheesecake for dessert.
