In 2021, Nick Vouras started a pop-up to sell pizza in his father’s Wilmington diner. Word spread throughout the region and demand grew. By 2023, Vouras opened Nick’s Pizza in Newport—a takeout spot that earned a 2024 Best of Delaware Award for the mouthwatering pizza. In March 2025, Vouras partnered with David and Joanne Govatos (of Swigg Real Wine, Craft Beer, and Spirits) to open Nick’s Pizza Parlor & Bar on Marsh Road in Wilmington.

A Love Letter to Retro Pizza Parlors
The new location boasts an ’80s vibe with neon signs, red checkered flooring, cozy booths, and retro arcade games. The owners describe it as their “love letter to the pizza parlors of the 1970s & ’80s.”
Dining spaces include a sizable bar and a separate dining room ideal for family-friendly dining. Whether you take a seat at the bar, slide into a booth, or bring the whole family for dinner at a large table, you’ll be able to soak in the nostalgic vibes before you dig in to the ‘za.

What’s on the Menu
From an extensive craft beer and wine list to a variety of signature cocktails, you’re sure to find the perfect beverage to pair with the classic pizza parlor fare. You’ll find plenty of references to the ’80s on the cocktail menu, with cocktails named after Phil Collins, the “Brat Pack Punch,” and more.
Nick’s Pizza specializes in Detroit-style pizza and classic Philly cheesesteaks. Repeat customers also rave about the signature sesame seed crust pizza and 16×16-inch Sicilian. Nick’s Pizza also serves up a classic tomato pie for lovers of the Philadelphia classic.
Cheesesteaks are served on a sesame roll with Cooper sharp cheese. Unseeded rolls and a variety of cheese options are available upon request. The menu also includes pasta, salads, chicken wings, and classic desserts like banana pudding and ice cream floats.
