The second Reds, Whites and Brews Gala goes down at Harry’s Savoy Grill on March 27 to help Wilmington-based Suiting Warriors provide a free suit to military veterans looking to enter the civilian job market. Enjoy appetizers, carved beef and other food stations with live music, dancing, a silent auction and an open bar full of craft brews. According to Suiting Warriors founder Star Lotta, dressing vets to impress has many benefits: It encourages attendance at job fairs, it stimulates social interaction, it decreases family separation, and it reduces homelessness and suicide. This one act can preserve families, bolster communities, and grow the economy at local and national levels. You can help just by having a good time. Check out www.suitingwarriors.org.
