If you haven’t been to Locale BBQ Post in Wilmington for the smoky ribs, brisket, wings or bratwursts, you’re missing out on some great barbecue. The lines waiting for the succulent meats are evidence enough. But now there’s another reason to go. The Wilmington eatery, which opened in August, is also selling its own dry-rub-tossed BBQ chips ($3 a bag). “We just started toying around with the idea, and after the first trial run, we kind of knocked it out of the park and bagged them right up,” says Locale’s chef Daniel Sheridan. “They’ve been selling really well ever since.” He plans to experiment with other flavors in the future.
